Auburn is looking for multiple receivers to step up in 2016 and give the team some much-needed production.
Former receivers Ricardo Louis and Melvin Ray departed this past year for the NFL. Not only did their leadership and experience vanish, but the duo combined for 66 catches, six touchdown receptions, and nearly 1,000 receiving yards.
Freshman WR Eli Stove has "caught our attention" during fall camp, Lashlee said. Thinks the freshmen need to make impacts this year.

As such, there’s plenty of opportunity for some unknown Tigers to make their proverbial presences known this upcoming year.
One of those potential options sits in the form of true freshman Eli Stove. Hailing from Niceville, Fla., the 6-foot, 177-pound pass-catcher has been impressing offensive coordinator Rhett Lashlee. Known for his sublime speed and quickness, there’s no question Stove has the talent to compete right away.
Assuming he continues to progress at a rapid pace, he should be able to crack the two-deep and impact the fortunes of Auburn instantly. Stove was a participant in the 2016 Under Armour All-American Game. He opted to sign with Gus Malzahn’s program over offers from Baylor, Clemson, Florida, Florida State, Georgia, LSU, Ohio State, and Oklahoma, among others.
