The first half of one of the most anticipated games of the first first true weekend of college football for the 2o24 season is officially in the books between the Georgia Bulldogs and the Clemson Tigers.

In what has been a low-scoring affair to this point, it is the Bulldogs who have the 6-0 lead after both teams have headed into the locker room. Tigers quarterback Cade Klubnik has had his moments, but quickly faltered after throwing some nice passes.

Klubnik has, at the half, completed 7 of 12 passing attempts for just 54 yards. Clemson’s offense as a whole managed just 76 yards before the break. The Tigers averaged just 3.8 yards per play and didn’t produce any explosive plays in the first half.

Clemson fans have been plenty vocal about their disdain about the performance of their offense and offensive coordinator Garrett Riley’s play-calling. Here’s some of that reaction on social media:

Clemson closed as a 10.5-point underdog to Georgia in this matchup. The Bulldogs have won the last 2 games in this series, including a victory in Charlotte back in 2021.
