Gators breaking out first-time uniform combo for rivalry game vs. Seminoles
Florida is breaking out a new uniform combination for today’s game against Florida State in The Swamp.
The 10th-ranked Gators will be wearing the new white helmets they debuted in their SEC East-clinching win over Vanderbilt. However, instead of wearing orange jerseys, they’ll be wearing their blue ones against the 14th-ranked Seminoles at 7:30 p.m. ET.
This will only be the second time Florida has worn the new white helmets, which are double-sided with the “F” logo on one side, and the script “Gators” on the other. UF won its only game wearing those lids 9-7 against Vanderbilt on Nov. 7.
Many have speculated whether these white helmets will become the team’s new main helmets or whether they’ll just continue to alternate the two.
