Already dealing with the transfer of QB Will Grier, Florida fans may be mourning the dismissal of another key member to the Gators football team on Saturday night.
According to a report from GatorSports.com’s Robbie Andreu, defensive end Alex McCalister has been dismissed from the team for a violation of team rules.
The junior pass rusher had already reportedly sent in paperwork to be evaluated for the NFL Draft, so there is a chance that is the direction he will take following the dismissal.
He had already been ruled out of the Citrus Bowl by Coach Jim McElwain earlier this week due to an injury.
