The Venue: Sanford Stadium
The Kick: 12 p.m. ET

Series Record: Georgia 1-0

Last Meeting: Georgia outscored Troy 44-34 in Athens in 2007. Knowshon Moreno rushed for 196 yards and three touchdowns on Homecoming. That victory was part of an 11-2 campaign for the Bulldogs that included a 2008 Sugar Bowl win.

Coaches: Mark Richt (127-46 overall), Larry Blakeney (175-104-1 overall).

Last game (Georgia): The Georgia defense was picked apart in the Bulldogs 38-35 loss to South Carolina in Columbia.  The Bulldogs surrendered 447 yards of total offense to the Gamecocks.

Last game (Troy): Abilene Christian overcame a 14-point deficit to hand the Trojans its third. The Wildcats took the lead on a 27-yard field goal with just over six minutes to play. Abilene Christian iced the game with a nine-yard touchdown run with just over a minute to play.

Georgia wins if: They bounce back and look at this game as a chance to get better after a tough loss.

Troy wins if: They suddenly become an NFL team.

What it means if Georgia wins: They move to 2-1.

What it means if Troy wins: They’re paying players. (Not likely, but it’d take that to beat the Bulldogs.)
