Georgia’s offensive line room got a major boost with UCF transfer Waltclaire Flynn Jr. committing to the Bulldogs for 2025.
Flynn told On3 on Saturday morning of his plans to play for Kirby Smart this fall.
The 6-foot-2, 300-pound interior lineman will still have 4 years of college eligibility remaining when he gets to Athens. Flynn spent 1 season at UCF before deciding to go back to his home state and play for Georgia. The Loganville, Ga., product will help the Bulldogs make up for the loss of offensive lineman Marques Easley, who recently decided to transfer.
The addition of Flynn is Georgia’s 4th during the spring transfer window, and Flynn should be anxious to get his college career going after redshirting last season with the Knights.
A former 4-star prized recruit, Flynn was the 68th-ranked interior offensive lineman available in the spring portal, according to 247Sports.
Flynn came out of high school in Georgia as one of the most coveted offensive linemen in the country. He was ranked as the No. 23 interior offensive lineman and No. 38 overall recruit out of the state of Georgia in the 2024 recruiting cycle.
His true freshman season at UCF was spent developing as the Knights’ third-string center. But after being placed in that role again this spring, Flynn chose to enter the portal and seek more playing time. He just might find it with the powerhouse program that resides in his home state.
