Georgia, Alabama among 7 teams ranked in every AP Poll during 2022 season
Two SEC programs are in elite company, joining 5 other teams as the only teams to be ranked in every AP Poll during the 2022 season.
Georgia and Alabama were the only 2 SEC programs to be ranked in every single AP Poll this season, showing the 2 teams’ dominance all year long.
Alabama started at No. 1 and Georgia started at No. 3. The Bulldogs never left the top 5 as they blazed their trail to the National Championship. Georgia overtook Alabama as the No. 1 team in Week 3 after showing some early dominance, but Alabama came back for the No. 1 spot a few weeks later.
Alabama slipped out of the top 5 after its loss to Tennessee and the Tide dropped to No. 10 after losing to LSU. The No. 10 spot was the lowest Alabama was ranked all season.
Joining Alabama and Georgia in the elite group of teams ranked all season were Ohio State, Michigan, USC, Utah and Clemson.
