Update: The AJC report is being refuted by other outlets:
A source at Oregon says the Ducks have not made any coaching hire at this time. The report of Dan Lanning being hired today is inaccurate.

Multiple sources have told me the report of Georgia DC Dan Lanning being the next Oregon coach is inaccurate. The @ajc reported that news earlier today.

UO source says Oregon has NOT offered nor has the job been accepted by Dan Lanning or anyone else. Georgia DC is a candidate, but is NOT hired. At least not yet.

Georgia defensive coordinator Dan Lanning is reportedly leaving the Bulldogs for a head coaching job. According to Chip Towers of The Atlanta Journal-Constitution, Lanning will be named the new head coach at Oregon on Monday.
Towers’ report leads off by addressing one of the biggest questions raised by Lanning’s departure:
Lanning and Georgia are negotiating whether the assistant coach will remain with the school through the College Football Playoff.
Georgia is ranked No. 3 after its SEC Championship Game loss to Alabama and is set to face No. 2 Michigan in the Orange Bowl, a CFP semifinal, on Dec. 31.
Lanning climbed the coaching ladder in his time at UGA, starting out as an outside linebackers coach making $325,000. This past season, Lanning made $1.7 million.
