The Georgia Bulldogs recently gained defensive tackle Jalen Carter back after he missed time with an injury and it was certainly noticeable both in the team’s most recent wins over Tennessee and Mississippi State as they’re poised to make another national championship run.

Bulldogs defensive end Tramel Walthour is among those who couldn’t be happier to have him back in the fold.

“It just brings us more energy, you know, and more confidence in the defense,” Walthour said when he met with the media this week.

Carter was near full capacity against Tennessee when he contributed greatly to the pass rush with 4 tackles and 1 sack.

Walthour also had praise for another member of the Georgia defense, freshman linebacker Jalon Walker. Seeing most of his time in reserve, Walker totals 5 tackles (3 solo) over appearances in the Vanderbilt and South Carolina games.

“He’s a young player, developmental player,” Walthour said. “He’s extremely athletic … He’s just got to make sure he knows his assignment and his role on that play.”
