Georgia fans show disdain for Bulldogs’ slow start against Auburn

Georgia fans expected a bit stronger of a lead than 14-3 through the first two quarters of Saturday’s game against the visiting Auburn Tigers.

The Bulldogs headed into the contest as a 24-point favorite, expected to run Auburn out of town in the Deep South rivalry game that suddenly seems to have very real rivalry undertones to it.

Instead of dominating a team that was deemed to be a lesser opponent with the way Auburn has seemingly found a way to completely self-destruct in multiple games this season, the Bulldogs lead by just 11 points.

Slow first-half starts have been an issue for the Bulldogs offense, and the same holds true here. It didn’t seem to be that big of an issue when it happened against Clemson, as the Bulldogs went on a 28-3 run over the Tigers in the second half.

But the same type of slow start in the first two quarters didn’t hold that same type of firepower in the second half when Georgia faced the Kentucky Wildcats, barely escaping in a 13-12 victory.

And when the Bulldogs yet again couldn’t find an offensive spark in last week’s loss to Alabama, it cost them the game as the Bulldogs’ 27 second-half points were not enough to overcome the fact they trailed 30-7 at halftime.

Here’s a look at what was said on social media about Georgia’s performance against Auburn so far, with two quarters left to play:
