Georgia had the nation’s No. 1 recruiting class at the time of this post on Wednesday night.
The Bulldogs hauled in an outstanding bunch of signees throughout the first day of the inaugural Early Signing Period.
Head coach Kirby Smart seems to be putting together a true juggernaut.
The ‘Dawgs No. 1 class, according to 247Sports’ Composite Team Rankings, is comprised of 17 prospects who are rated as a 4-star or higher.
A whopping six of the Bulldogs’ prospects are 5-star recruits.
All six of those players — QB Justin Fields, RB Zamir White, OG Jamaree Salyer, OT Cade Mays, OLB Adam Anderson and DE Brenton Cox — “faxed” over their signed National Letter of Intent on Wednesday.
It was quite a day for the ‘Dawgs.
As ESPN Stats & Info pointed out, Georgia’s seven recruits in the top 30 of its ESPN 300 rankings are unprecedented:
Georgia has landed 7 top-30 recruits for the Class of 2018. That is the most in a single class for any school in the ESPN 300 era (since 2006).
