Wims caught 47 passes for 780 yards and nine touchdowns in nine games for Hinds. The Miami native runs a 4.48-second 40-yard dash.
Wims is the Bulldogs’ fifth wide receiver commitment in the Class of 2016.
The receiver still plans to take official visits to Southern Miss and UAB.
Wims received an offer from Georgia receivers coach Bryan McClendon at around 10 p.m. on Wednesday. He said that McClendon told him he would be starting for the Bulldogs if he were playing for them this year.
“We had a real honest man-to-man talk about where I would stand on the depth chart coming in now with their current roster,” Wims told DawgNation. “I feel going into next season I would have a fighting opportunity to start and make an impact.”
