Georgia linebacker Tim Kimbrough has missed several practices of late without much of an explanation for his absence. Kimbrough was again not in practice Monday and there was no explanation for his absence, but at least now the team knows his immediate future.

The Athens Banner-Herald reports Kimbrough will be out for the Taxslayer Bowl against Penn State and the Kimbrough matter will be handled internally:

This weekend, Kimbrough had missed several practices and reporters asked other players about his absence. Fellow linebacker Jake Ganus said he was not allowed to speak on the matter and that they would have to wait for coaches to comment.

There has not been any clarification yet on Kimbrough’s absence.

The Bulldogs will miss him for their game in early January against the Nittany Lions. Kimbrough was third on the team in total tackles with 67 tackles and 5.5 tackles for a loss.
