When it comes to gameday festivities, selecting captains is one role many programs take very seriously.

Georgia did just that Thursday night and gave senior  linebacker Juwan Taylor, junior running back Elijah Holyfield, and senior wide receiver Ahkil Crumpton the nod for Saturday’s game against Austin Peay.

Perhaps most notable is Holyfield, who will be fighting for carries in the backfield with D’andre Swift after waiting two seasons behind Nick Chubb and Sony Michel.

While on the smaller side, Crumpton’s role increased as the season went on in 2017. He specifically stood out against Georgia Tech with two catches for 78 yards and a touchdown. Taylor’s role as a true senior has been limited for the first three years, but his selection shows how respected he must be among his teammates.

The Bulldogs kick off on Saturday at 3:30 p.m. ET on ESPN.
