Georgia officially announces it will wear black jerseys against Louisiana-Lafayette

It’s official — Georgia will be bringing its black jerseys out of retirement this weekend.

The Bulldogs, who haven’t worn the black alternate jerseys since 2008, will break them out against Louisiana-Lafayette on Saturday. The school hinted at this uniform change on Twitter early Tuesday morning.
Georgia athletic director Greg McGarity said before the season that the Bulldogs would bring back the black jerseys at some point this season. They haven’t worn them since losing Alabama 41-30 in Athens in 2008.
You can see Georgia (6-4) wearing its stylish alternate uniforms on the SEC Network when it hosts the Ragin’ Cajuns (4-5) at 12 p.m. ET on Saturday.
