The Georgia Bulldogs are bringing the Charlotte 49ers to Sanford Stadium in November of 2025 for a nonconference showdown.

However, the game won’t be coming cheap, as the Bulldogs will pay a record amount for the contest.

Per a report from AJC.com, Georgia will pay a school-record $1.9 million to host the 49ers in 2025:

The UGA Athletic Association is having to pay the 49ers $1.9 million to visit Sanford Stadium on Nov. 22, 2025, according to the contract UNC-Charlotte provided in response to The Atlanta Journal-Constitution’s open-records request.

The Bulldogs will play the 49ers before their annual rivalry game against Georgia Tech in 2025, part of what has become known as “Cupcake Week.”

For Charlotte, getting a huge payout like this will be great for the athletic department, so it’s a win-win all around.
