Georgia running back Branson Robinson will miss the 2023 season after suffering a ruptured patella tendon in practice Tuesday. A report from Georgia writer Seth Emerson states the injury was non-contact.
That’s problematic to say the least for Georgia, and another blow to an already banged up RB room. Kendall Milton has been dealing with hamstring tightness throughout Georgia’s preseason camp.
Robinson is entering Year 2 with the Bulldogs following a strong freshman campaign. He totaled 330 rushing yards with 3 touchdowns as Georgia’s 3rd or 4th option at running back in 2022 and was projected to see a bigger role in 2023.

Georgia still has plenty of talent in the RB room, though. Milton, as previously mentioned, is dealing with a hamstring issue but shouldn’t miss too much time if any at all.
Daijun Edwards, Roderick Robinson and Andrew Paul are the only other scholarship RBs on the roster, bringing Georgia’s total to 4 heading into the season.
