Georgia has reportedly made major moves in the NCAA transfer portal.

According to reports, the Bulldogs have added a trio of new transfer signings. Illinois RB Josh McCray, Miami DL Joshua Horton and Army LB Elo Modozie are all heading to Georgia.

Modozie, listed at 6-3, 245 pounds, had been ranked as one of the best overall available players in the portal. The St. Augustine, Florida native heads back to the Southeast after 2 seasons at West Point.

In 2024, Modozie stepped into a starting role at outside linebacker. Over 14 games, he recorded 34 total tackles including 8 TFLs and 6.5 sacks.

Horton, a Fairburn, Georgia native and product of Langston Hughes High School, returns to the Peach State after 2 seasons in Coral Gables. Horton played in 8 games over 2023 and ’24. He was limited by injury in 2024 and redshirted in ’23.

A former Enterprise (Alabama) High School standout, McCray comes to UGA after 4 seasons with the Illini. McCray, listed at 6-1, 235 pounds, played in 33 games at Illinois.

McCray joins the Georgia running back room after a strong performance against an SEC defense. McCray was named the Citrus Bowl MVP for helping Illinois to a win over South Carolina, rushing 13 times for 114 yards and 2 touchdowns. He finished the season with 117 carries for 609 yards and 10 TDs.
