Georgia is prepared to promote Mike Bobo as its next offensive coordinator, according to a report.
That’s according to The Athletic’s Seth Emerson, who notes that Bobo will be replacing Todd Monken. The Baltimore Ravens hired Monken as their next offensive coordinator on Tuesday morning.

Bobo was Georgia’s offensive coordinator under Mark Richt from 2007-14. He then left to take over as the head coach at Colorado State, where he stayed for 5 seasons.
Bobo served as an analyst for the Bulldogs in 2022. Since his last stint in Athens, he also called plays for South Carolina and Auburn.
He will have tough shoes to fill, as Monken was very successful as Georgia’s offensive coordinator. Monken helped lead the Bulldogs to back-to-back National Championships and a 37-3 record during his 3-year tenure as OC.
Georgia’s offense averaged 7.17 yards per play in 2022. That ranked No. 2 in the SEC and No. 4 nationally.
The SEC will have 10 new offensive coordinators for the 2023 season.
