Georgia’s 2018 recruiting class is already considered the fifth-best by 247Sports.com, but it might be getting even better, as they’re in the lead for another All-American high school prospect.
Tight end Luke Ford, a Carterville, Ill. native, officially visited Georgia last Saturday, when the Bulldogs beat South Carolina, 24-10. The 247Sports.com recruiting experts predict that Ford will attend Georgia over Alabama.
A four-star prospect and ranked as the 79th-best prospect in the 2018 class, Ford has 30 offers with Georgia and Alabama considered his top two choices. Ford has been selected to participate in the 2018 U.S. Army All-American Game.
The 6-foot-6, 248-pound prospect is also considering Auburn, Michigan and Illinois. He’s the nations No. 3 tight end due to his physical blocking skills and running abilities after catching a pass. Ford was originally committed to Arkansas but decommitted once his recruitment started to pick up last summer.
John FitzPatrick is Georgia’s lone tight end recruit in its 2018 class. FitzPatrick is a three-star prospect.
