Georgia head coach Kirby Smart has another off-field mess on his hands with a recent report indicating another Bulldog was arrested for disturbing charges.

According to Jordan D. Hill with 247 Sports, wide receiver Colbie Young was arrested by Athens-Clarke County police early Tuesday morning on misdemeanor charges of battery and assault on an unborn child. Hill cited jail records showing Young being booked at 4:18 am Tuesday morning and still incarcerated as of 8:30 am.

Georgia has yet to address the matter.

Young joined Georgia as a transfer this offseason after a career at Miami that included over 900 receiving yards and 10 touchdowns across the 2022-23 seasons. He has appeared in all 5 games Georgia has played so far this season.

At this point in the season, Young is tied for 4th on the Bulldogs with 11 catches. He is 1 of 5 Georgia players with at least 2 touchdown catches and 1 of 6 players with at least 100 receiving yards.

To say Georgia has issues off the field would be an understatement after a string of arrests under Smart that have mostly centered on driving-related incidents. However, WR Rara Thomas was dismissed from the program earlier this year after a summer arrest for family violence charges, including one count of felony cruelty to children.

Star running back Trevor Etienne was also arrested this offseason after transferring in from Florida, and defensive back Daniel Harris was arrested after the season started on multiple driving-related charges, including reckless driving.
