Georgia wide receiver Nitro Tuggle became the latest Bulldog to be arrested on reckless driving charges early Thursday morning in Athens.
According to arrest records, Tuggle was taken into custody on charges of reckless driving and speeding at 2 a.m., both at the maximum limit. According to Bulldogs beat writer Graham Coffey, Tuggle was released on a $26 bond.
Both charges are misdemeanors in the state of Georgia.
Tuggle is entering his 2nd year at Georgia after posting 3 receptions and 34 yards in Year 1. A pair of those catches came against Tennessee, and Tuggle originally announced that he would be entering the portal following the season. He changed his mind the day following and decided to stay in Athens for the 2025 campaign.
Before landing at Georgia Tuggle was listed as a 4-star recruit out of Nappanee, Indiana. Now standing at 6-1, 185 pounds, Tuggle was considered to be the No. 123 overall prospect in the Class of 2024.
This is unfortunately a common event for the Georgia football program. Over 20 players have been arrested for driving-related crimes dating back to January of 2023, when offensive lineman Devin Willock and staffer Chandler LeCroy were killed in a crash.
