Georgia has officially wrapped up the No. 1 spot in the 247 Sports Team Composite rankings for the 2024 recruiting class. It gives Kirby Smart his third season with the No. 1 recruiting class since 2018.
247 Sports officially called the race to the No. 1 recruiting class after the Bulldogs flipped safety, KJ Bolden, away from Florida State. It’s the earliest 247 Sports has called the race to the top class per Steve Wiltfong.

Georgia’s current point total for the 2024 recruiting class (316.03) would rank as the 14th-best class in the 247 Sports era (since 2010). Bolden’s flip to Georgia gives Smart 28 total players, including a quartet of 5-star players.
It is another defensive-rich class for Smart with the Bulldogs signing the top safety (Bolden), top cornerback (Ellis Robinson IV) and top linebacker (Justin Williams) in the cycle. Additionally, Georgia signed 5 of the top 50 players available.
The Bulldogs could have pushed that ranking even higher had the program held onto 5-star quarterback Dylan Raiola. Even with the flip to Nebraska, there was no stopping this class. Without Raiola in tow, the Bulldogs did sign Ryan Puglisi, a 4-star recruit and the No. 9 QB in the class out of Avon, Connecticut.
