The Bulldogs hung 66 on Troy Saturday, more than rebounding from their loss last week to South Carolina. It is the most points Georgia has scored in the 14 years head coach Mark Richt has been in Athens. The previous high was 63 points scored against New Mexico State in 2011.

Georgia scored five rushing touchdowns, three passing, a punt return and a field goal. Three of the rushing touchdowns came from true freshman Sony Michel, all of which were in the first half.  The Bulldogs halftime led was 45-0.

Last year Georgia won three consecutive games while scoring 40 points or more:

  • 41 vs. South Carolina
  • 45 vs. North Texas
  • 44 vs. LSU

Georgia paid out $900,000 the Trojans and got their monies worth. The 66 points scored came at $13,636 a point.
