The LSU Tigers suffered an embarrassment on their home field Saturday evening.

The Troy Trojans came in and put up an impressive performance in their 24-21 victory over the No. 25 Tigers. The Trojans rushed for 206 yards and forced four LSU turnovers in the upset.

Troy dominated time of possession by holding the ball for 34:44 and did not allow LSU to convert a third down with the Tigers going 0-for-9 on third downs.

The Trojans simply looked like the better team, and SEC Network analyst Greg McElroy says the Tigers coaches were manhandled and arrogant.

Paul Finebaum tweeted out McElroy’s comments on Monday:

Regardless of why the Tigers lost, LSU is now 3-2 on the season with its toughest stretch still to come. Three of the Tigers next four games will come against ranked SEC opponents.

LSU will travel to the Swamp to take on the Florida Gators this weekend. Kickoff is set for 3:30 pm EST on CBS.
