Greg McElroy makes predictions for many of the biggest games every week, and Week 12 is no exception, as there are some big matchups.
One of the games he made a prediction on is Texas at Arkansas. The Razorbacks have shown they have the ability to play with anybody, as they upset Tennessee early and led Texas A&M in the fourth quarter before losing 21-17.
Despite that though, McElroy thinks this is a bad matchup for Arkansas and he likes Texas in this game.
“I think this is a must-win for Texas, and of course, a big one for Arkansas and Sam Pittman,” McElroy said. “Picking this game, I am taking the Texas Longhorns. I think this is a bad matchup for Arkansas. I know Arkansas is all in on this particular game and I know this is their Super Bowl.
“I think Arkansas will throw their best punch, but unfortunately for Arkansas, this game is at noon. I will take Texas. I think this is a bad matchup for Arkansas, and the Horns get the job done.”
Texas has only 1-loss, but the team doesn’t have the margin of error as some of the other teams because it is lacking a big win. In its biggest game of the season, Texas was physically dominated against Georgia. The Longhorns best win of the season is against Vanderbilt, so they have to continue to get wins.
Kickoff is scheduled for noon ET and the game will be on ABC.
