Gus Malzahn continues to field questions regarding future at Auburn, Arkansas job

As of Sunday evening, Gus Malzahn said nothing had changed in terms of him being the head coach at Auburn next season.
Malzahn has been rumored to be the top candidate for the Arkansas job.
The Razorbacks are reportedly set to offer Malzahn $50 million over seven years to take over as the head coach in Fayetteville.
The Tigers lost 28-7 to Georgia in the SEC Championship Game on Saturday. And now that Auburn is out of contention for the College Football Playoff, it seems more likely that Malzahn might listen.
However, he has continually said he “plans on” being at Auburn.
Here are a few tweets from reporters regarding Malzahn’s status:
Gus Malzahn: “I’m planning on being at Auburn. I told you last night that’s where I wanted to be. Nothing’s changed.”

I asked Gus Malzahn about contract negotiations with Auburn. “Nothing has changed” since last night, says Malzahn.

Gus Malzahn has said repeatedly on Peach Bowl teleconference he’s “planning” to continue to be Auburn’s coach. But won’t say he will be. Moderator cut off question about whether Malzahn is flattered by Arkansas offer.

Another potentially positive sign for Auburn fans that want Malzahn to stay … He was apparently out recruiting for the Tigers on Sunday.
