Nick Saban has a career winning percentage of over 78.57 percent (242-65-1) as a college football head coach. That percentage is significantly higher (86.78 percent) in his 13 seasons at Alabama (151-23). Only a small number of active college football head coaches can boast that they have beat a Saban-coached team. With Saturday’s 48-45 Auburn win in the Iron Bowl, Tigers head coach Gus Malzahn is now in the most exclusive of clubs: a three-time winner against Saban.

College football reporter Brett McMurphy shared the stat showing that Malzahn and Les Miles are the only two members of that club.

The list has undergone some noticeable changes in recent years. It wasn’t too long ago that Miles, Hugh Freeze and Mack Brown were not among CFB’s “active” coaches and Urban Meyer was part of the two-win club.
