Gus Malzahn’s 3-game tenure has seen just about everything so far — a huge and exciting win over Boise State, a comfortable win over Bethune Cookman, and now, a head-scratching and heartbreaking walk-off loss to Louisville.

Malzahn’s Knights were tied 35-35 when Cardinals quarterback Malik Cunningham threw an inexplicable interception, setting up the potential game-winning drive by UCF at Louisville’s 40-yard-line.

Next, however, Knights quarterback Dillon Gabriel threw his own tipped-pass interception, except this one went to the end zone for a game-winning pick-6 with just 6 seconds left.

Under Gus Malzahn, UCF’s offense hasn’t looked like it did even in the Josh Heupel era — and especially the Scott Frost era. Naturally, fans took to social media to express their concerns and doubts about Malzahn.
