It was a workmanlike effort for Auburn on Saturday — as it dismantled Alabama A&M by a score of 55-0.
QB Jeremy Johnson performed exceptionally well in the absence of starter Sean White. Johnson threw for 147 yards, and rushed for two touchdowns. He did a great job of distributing the football to his skill players — both in the run game and in terms of throwing the ball down field.
In essence, this glorified scrimmage will serve as a tune-up for next weekend’s massive rivalry game against Alabama.
Head coach Gus Malzahn spoke to the media after the contest:
Gus Malzahn is here. "Proud of our team. Very happy for our seniors to go out that way."
