A healthy Georgia team impressed in the first half.  Hutson Mason looked comfortable leading the Bulldog offense and Jeremy Pruitt’s defense showed positive signs in a very evenly-played first half.

Mason completed 11 of 15 passes for 68 yards.  Mike Bobo called mostly high percentage throws for him, but Mason’s first half of play was solid.  Gurley has just four carries for 44 yards and a touchdown thus far.  Mark Richt has gone to this depth at running back several times in the first half.  Gurley’s presence was felt on a 100-yard kickoff return for a touchdown to tie the game at 21 in the 2nd quarter.

The Bulldog defense showed positive signs in the first half.  The Clemson offense seemed to move the ball with ease when they wanted to, but an Aaron Davis interception and Damian Swann sack highlighted a number of positive plays for the Bulldogs.
