Dates revealed for Heisman Trophy finalists, presentation in addition to new ceremony location
The Heisman Trophy will be given on a new date this season.
Much like the rest of the 2020 college football season, the Heisman Trophy had to adjust its plans thanks to so much upheaval off the the field this year.
Unfortunately, the 2020 Heisman Trophy ceremony will be held by ESPN studios in Bristol, Conn. The award has always been given out during a New York ceremony but that has changed due to the ongoing COVID pandemic.
On Saturday morning, the Heisman Trophy announced a new voting deadline for the award, the date for the announcement for the finalists and the upcoming ceremony for the award.
Heisman voting deadline: December 21
Heisman finalists revealed: December 24, 7:30 p.m. ET on ESPN
Heisman ceremony: January 5, 7 p.m. ET on ESPN
The upcoming Heisman Trophy will be the 86th year the award will be given out.
