Heisman Watch, Week 11: Bo Nix snags pole position after big day against USC

Consider it a passing of the torch, one Heisman winner — USC’s Caleb Williams — falling to another, Oregon’s Bo Nix, in a 35-26 loss.

With the win, Nix now becomes the favorite to take home the trophy.

Here is a look at the current Heisman odds and how the current top 10 contenders performed in Week 11…

1. Bo Nix, Oregon Quarterback

Week 11 results: 36-27 win over USC

Week 11 stats: 23/31 passing for 412 yards, 4 touchdowns, 1 rush, 5 yards

Overall stats: 258/332 passing for 3,135 yards, 29 touchdowns, 2 interceptions, 38 rushes, 121 yards, 5 touchdowns

One big number: Nix topped 400 yards for the 1st time this year.

Week 12 opponent: at Arizona State

2. Michael Penix Jr., Washington Quarterback

Week 11 results: 35-28 win over Utah

Week 11 stats: 24/42 passing for 332 yards, 2 touchdowns, 5 rushes, negative-14 yards, 1 touchdowns

Overall stats: 249/336 passing for 3,533 yards, 28 touchdowns, 7 interceptions, 20 rushes, negative-27 yards, 2 touchdowns

One big number: Penix has led the Huskies to just their 2nd 10-0 start in program history.

3. Marvin Harrison Jr., Ohio State Wide Receiver

One big number: Daniels set a new standard with more than 600 yards, a career high.

Week 12 opponent: against Georgia State

5. Carson Beck, Georgia Quarterback

Week 11 results: 52-17 win over Ole Miss

Week 11 stats: 18/25 passing for 306 yards, 2 touchdowns, 1 interception, 4 rushes, 30 yards

Overall stats: 231/320 passing for 3,022 yards, 18 touchdowns, 5 interceptions, 43 rushes, 99 yards, 3 touchdowns

One big number: Beck topped the 300-yard mark for the 5th time this year.

6. Jordan Travis, Florida State Quarterback

One big number: McCarthy officially did have a pass attempt after the 7:41 mark in the 2nd quarter (1 2nd-half pass attempt drew a penalty).

One big number: Gabriel set a new best with 8 total touchdowns.

10. Drake Maye, North Carolina Quarterback

Week 11 results: 47-45 win over Duke

Week 11 stats: 28/43 passing for 342 yards, 1 touchdowns, 1 interception, 12 rushes, 22 yards, 2 touchdowns

One big number: Maye’s big day was his 5th above 500 yards this year.
