Derrick Henry has set a lot of single-season records during this magical season at Alabama. He’s been so productive that he’s starting to break some career records, too.
When Henry got to 138 yards rushing during the third quarter of the Tide’s national championship game with Clemson, he passed Shaun Alexander as the school’s all-time leader rusher.
Derrick Henry has broken Shaun Alexander's career rushing record.
He did it in basically two seasons at Alabama. Incredible run for Henry.

Alexander had 3,565 yards during his four seasons at Alabama from 1996 to 1999.
Henry has done most of his damage in just two seasons. He gained only 382 yards as a freshman in 2013. He had 990 last year as a sophomore. He’s well over 2,000 yards this year, which is an SEC single-season record.
