Henry Parrish Jr. couldn’t be stopped in the 1st half — in general, or from reaching the end zone.
The senior running back ripped off 3 touchdown runs to help No. 6 Ole Miss take a 31-3 halftime lead over Middle Tennessee in Oxford.

Parrish piled up 122 yards on just 12 carries in the opening 30 minutes, busting out after being held in check in last week’s 76-0 victory over Furman, when he gained just 40 yards on 8 carries without getting into the end zone even once.
It was a whole different story on Saturday on the same field, as Parrish went to work early against the overmatched Blue Raiders. Parrish scored on 2 11-yard runs in the opening quarter, the 1st one coming midway through the 1st period to give the Rebels a 10-0 lead, and the 2nd one giving Ole Miss a 17-0 cushion.
Parrish didn’t slow down in the 2nd quarter, either. He was back in the end zone with 3:07 left in the 2nd quarter, scoring on a 3-yard run to give Ole Miss a 31-0 lead.
Parrish’s 1st half Saturday signaled that he was officially back as a Rebel. Parrish transferred from Ole Miss to Miami after the 2021 season, spent 2 seasons as a Hurricane and transferred back to Ole Miss in April, reuniting with head coach Lane Kiffin for a season with College Football Playoff aspirations in Oxford.
Parrish rushed for more than 800 yards and 5 touchdowns over the 2020 and 2021 seasons for Ole Miss.
