Here’s what everyone is saying about Alabama leading Washington 17-7 at halftime
With Alabama being roughly two touchdown favorites coming into this game against Washington, a 17-7 lead at halftime for the Crimson Tide seemed almost probable.
What most didn’t see coming, however, is how it would happen. The Huskies scored the initial points of the game on an absolute dime by quarterback Jake Browning, but from there, Alabama scored 17 unanswered to close the half.

With just two minutes remaining in the half, Washington trailed, 10-7. Browning then had a pass picked off with two minutes left in the half, resulting in Alabama’s 11th defensive touchdown of the season, pushing the lead to 17-7.

From a defensive perspective, Washington has played well, holding the Crimson Tide’s offense to just 10 points has to be seen as a win. With the sub-par offensive performance through 30 minutes, offensive coordinator Lane Kiffin received some heat via social media:
Four of Bo Scarbrough's nine carries have gained 12 yards or more

LET BO LOOSE !!!!

At halftime Alabama should literally cut every pass play out of the game plan.

Kiffin gets too cute again. Scarbrough had runs of 12 and 16 yards and then 3 straight pass plays.

Alabama's 15th non-offensive TD — it's the most in a season by an FBS team in at least the last 20 seasons. #CFBPlayoff

UW QB Browning looks spooked. Alabama's pass rush is in his head. Has completed one of last eight attempts

Washington outgained Alabama 144-138. Tide outscored them off turnovers, 10-0.

I did the research since ya'll asked. It IS illegal for Saban to waterboard Kiffin at halftime as game is not being played in Alabama.
— Cecil Hurt (@CecilHurt) December 31, 2016
If Kiffin calls a pass in the third quarter he's going to be on a plane to Boca by the fourth.

Alabama DE Jonathan Allen, shaking his head, as he's walking off field at halftime: "They're sorry. They're sorry" https://t.co/hFkPSQLoVn

Alabama run to pass ratio is 25 to 9 at the half

Surprised to see money coming in on Washington at the half; not sure some folks have watched the same game as me #PeachBowl

I actually would have had Washington down a lot more than 10 if I had known it would be -2 in the first half in turnover margin

Despite the criticism, the soon-to-be head coach at Florida Atlantic has Alabama up 10 going into halftime. The defending national champions will receive the kickoff to start the second half … as long as Washington head coach Chris Peterson doesn’t try something tricky to help bring momentum back to his side.
