The penultimate College Football Playoff rankings of the 2024 season have been revealed.

The drama entering the night was which bubble team would earn the No. 11 ranking, and thus have pole position to earn the final at-large spot in the College Football Playoff rankings. Alabama got the nod, landing at No. 11 over No. 12 Miami, No. 13 Ole Miss and No. 14 South Carolina.

Ohio State’s ranking was another big question mark following its loss to Michigan in Week 14. The Buckeyes slid down to No. 6, meaning they are still in position to potentially host a first-round matchup in the Playoff this season.

Here’s a look at projected bracket ahead of conference championship Saturday:

In this current projection, the following teams are slated to receive first-round byes: Oregon, Texas, SMU and Boise State. However, the Mustangs and Broncos may still need to win their respective conference championships in order to earn a berth in the 12-team field.

Because first-round matchups are set to take place on campus sites, that means the following programs are currently projected to host Playoff games: Penn State, Notre Dame, Georgia and Ohio State.

The final College Football Playoff rankings will be unveiled on Sunday, Dec. 8.
