Wednesday night provided a powerful moment at the ESPYs.
Zaevion Dobson, a 15-year-old high school football player from Tennessee who was killed last December when shielding three girls from gunfire, was honored with the Arthur Ashe Courage Award. As part of the presentation, a touching 12-minute tribute was aired in his honor.
You can watch the full video below, which includes a message from President Obama.

Zenobia Dobson, Zaevion’s mother, accepted the award on her son’s behalf. It was hard not to become emotional during the ceremony. Hat tip to the ESPYs for recognizing such a brave, selfless act.
