On the ESPN broadcast, it was noted that King’s Houston teammates were chanting “Tebow” as he approached the sidelines after the score. Houston currently leads Tulane 28-14 in the second quarter.

King has been getting some other Florida-related attention lately for his connection to another Gators quarterback. King and Kyle Trask were high school teammates, with King being the starter and Trask taking the second-string role. In recent interviews, King has been highly complimentary of Trask, praising his work ethic.
