Hugh Freeze called out on social media after Auburn’s collapse at Mizzou

Hugh Freeze is quickly losing supporters on The Plains.
After taking a 17-3 lead at Mizzou on Saturday afternoon in Columbia, things fell apart for Freeze and the Auburn Tigers.
Mizzou QB Brady Cook was injured on the first drive of the game and missed the rest of the first half. He returned in the third quarter and led an incredible comeback for his squad in what ultimately became a 21-17 Missouri victory.
Auburn’s offense couldn’t do much in the second half, and the play-calling led to Mizzou having plenty of time to make its comeback.
Naturally, that was frustrating for Auburn fans to watch. As the Tigers fell to 2-5 on the season and 0-4 in SEC play, fans took to social media to blast Freeze for blowing yet another Auburn lead:

Hugh Freeze and blowing double-digit leads. Name a better combo.
Can't wait until people wake up and realize this dude can't coach so I can care about AU football again.

Is Freeze on the hot seat? Auburn hasn’t had much patience with coaches in the past. If Freeze can’t turn things around down the stretch, there will be more (and louder) calls for him to lose his job before the start of the 2025 season.
Auburn travels to Kentucky next weekend before hosting Vanderbilt to start November. If Auburn even goes 1-1 in those games, making a bowl game this year will be very difficult.
