Ole Miss was embarrassed on Saturday against rival Mississippi State.
There’s simply no other way to state it. The Rebels gave up 457 yards on the ground, and never gained their proverbial footing en route to a 55-20 loss.
The defeat ends what was a very disappointing season for Hugh Freeze’s team. It started the season ranked No. 11. However, Ole Miss ended with seven losses — and a 2-6 conference record.
Freeze addressed the result after the contest:
"Hate it for our fans, hate it for our university." Strong words from Freeze to sum up Senior Night and the 2016 season.
