Ole Miss coach Hugh Freeze and players met with reporters after a 48-20 win over Oklahoma State in the Sugar Bowl.
Here’s a few of Freeze’s comments, including tweets from the coach’s news conference:
On winning the Sugar Bowl: “It’s an honor. We’re thrilled and excited. There’s a lot of emotions you feel. I’ll probably cry a little bit.”
On Chad Kelly: “I know he’s been super valuable for us. I’m proud that he’s overcome some bad situations that put him in a bad spot.”
On Ole Miss’ offensive success: “I’m not surprised we scored some points. Defensively, we played well early.”
On the seniors finishing with a victory: “I’m glad to send our seniors out like that.”
On expectations: “It’s just Year 4. Everybody wants everything now — the whole enchilada. Were we as consistent as we need to be? No.
"We did end the year winning the Magnolia, Egg and Sugar Bowl. That's pretty special."
