Hugh Freeze knows Auburn boasts one of the best environments in the country — especially when Alabama comes to town.

Freeze is hoping, despite the loss, Saturday’s environment at Jordan-Hare Stadium left an impression on recruits who were in attendance or watching from home.

“The recruits saw it, and the battle is never really over when you’re going after the best players in the country,” Freeze said in his press conference Monday. “I don’t know that they’ve been to a game that was quite like that.”

But Freeze knows the recruiting trail is far from over. Auburn is looking to get the best players in the country, and Freeze knows that one game can’t win recruits over, but he does think it helped.

“The recruits I think see it. The battles are never over,” Freeze said. “But for them to have that as an experience, it certainly was a positive for us.”

Auburn currently has the No. 17 recruiting class for the Class of 2024 according to 247Sports composite. The Tigers have the No. 5 recruiting class for the Class of 2025.
