“Throughout this process, [Ole Miss’ coaches] have shown me nothing but love and respect,” Sabbatini wrote. “I will now be de-committing from the University of Mississippi and reopening my recruitment. No interest is lost I just feel that I need more time to consider my options.”

Sabbatini is a 3-star prospect from Biloxi, Miss., and had been committed to the Rebels since June of 2020. Per 247Sports’ Composite rankings, he’s the No. 77 safety in the class of 2021.

Ole Miss’ recruiting class is still a work-in-progress under first-year head coach Lane Kiffin. The Rebels currently have 14 commitments 247Sports ranks them No. 52 nationally and No. 13 in the SEC.
