Incarnate Word wide receiver Jalen Walthall just hauled in an incredible catch for a touchdown against Houston Christian. It goes down as a 50-yard touchdown, the longest reception of the day for the Cardinals.
But it’s what he did after that caught the attention of a few folks online. Mostly because it’s such as ridiculous celebration that it’s hard not to laugh.
The video isn’t the best (that’s ESPN+ FCS football for you) but gets a great look at Walthall’s celebration, which received a ridiculous penalty flag.

By the way, what a dime from former Texas A&M quarterback Zach Calzada, who transferred to Incarnate Word before the 2023 season. Calzada is having a stellar year for Incarnate Word, sitting at 2,364 yards, 24 touchdowns and 4 interceptions through 8 and a half games.
Calzada’s highlight game at Texas A&M came in 2021 against Alabama, when he threw for 285 yards and 3 touchdowns in a 41-38 win over the No. 1 Crimson Tide. He was off and on while in College Station, but Calzada’s “on” was fun to watch.
Incarnate Word leads Houston Christian 46-5 at the start of the 4th quarter, looking to put the final touches on its 7th win of the season.
