Tre’ McKitty, a three-star tight end in the 2017 recruiting class, is supposed to announce his college choice at 10 p.m. Eastern tonight during the 7-on-7 final at The Opening recruiting showcase in Oregon.
But, according to 247Sports, McKitty injured his ribs early during Sunday’s action, something that could force the postponement of his announcement.
McKitty, who has Auburn, Florida and Oregon in his final three, is at a nearby hospital getting X-rays taken on his injured ribs.
McKitty’s dad told 247Sports that the results of the X-rays will determine whether the 6-foot-4, 235-pound tight end announces his decision tonight or not.
McKitty is ranked as the No. 18 tight end in the class of 2017 and the No. 61 overall recruit from the state of Florida, according to 247Sports.
