A’Shawn Robinson is a huge man with a very “mature” look.
The former Crimson Tide defensive lineman just turned 21, but chances are pretty good that he could talk his way into an AARP membership if given the opportunity.
While us SEC fans have become accustomed to the massive Alabama lineman, he’s just now introducing himself to the NFL world.
Robinson was the No. 46 overall pick of the NFL Draft, slipping out of the first round and landing in the lap of the Detroit Lions.
This, of course, drew some jokes about him being unhappy about the results of the draft.
"I'm getting 1st round money."
"We drafted you in the 2nd."
"1st round money."

Why A'Shawn went 46th, I do not know. I do know he's going to make his son proud as a Lion. pic.twitter.com/dLRON8HiXc

As for the Lions beat writer, he did his best to gather some of the information from Robinson on just how big of a struggle his size and mature look has presented for his amateur football career:
A'Shawn Robinson says he actually missed a couple games because other team didn't believe his age. Had to bring birth cert.

When A'Shawn Robinson was 4 years old, he was playing in his brother's football league. That league was for 8 year olds.

Then, it was up to the rest of the pro football world to start accepting that this is actually a 21-year-old man:
Daunte Culpepper looks like A'Shawn Robinson's younger brother #DTackleBody
