Jackson Cantwell, a mammoth offensive lineman who happens to be the biggest prize of the 2026 recruiting class, said on Monday that he’ll be announcing his college pick on April 30.

The 6-foot-7, 300-pound stud from Nixa, Mo., is being heavily targeted by Georgia. Miami, defending national champion Ohio State and Oregon are also in the mix for the offensive tackle, who just a few days ago made headlines in a different sport for an astounding throw in the shot put.

But on the final day of this month, the college football world will finally know where Cantwell will take his enormous talents to in 2026.

Cantwell was originally set to make his commitment later this summer after taking a string of official visits. But now that all has changed with Monday’s announcement. Not only will Cantwell announce his choice on April 30, but he’ll reportedly visit Oregon for the Ducks’ spring game on April 26. That’s expected to be his final visit before announcing a commitment.

Four days after taking in Oregon’s spring game, Cantwell will let everyone know what college is the lucky one to be getting his services. But the college football world will only have to wait another few weeks now instead of until this summer.
