Jacob Hester implores fans to be loud: ‘Tennessee needs to see Death Valley at its peak’

Former LSU running back Jacob Hester had a simple request for the Tiger fans on his podcast: Get loud.
Hester is hoping the early kickoff doesn’t stop fans from bringing a night game type of atmosphere.
“We love night games in Tiger Stadium…like that’s when Death Valley is at its peak. A noon kick is not something we specialize in…I understand that, but I also understand that Tennessee needs to see Death Valley at its peak.”
Hester goes on and smartly reminds the fans to stay hydrated. He’s hopeful that the noise in the stadium will force Tennessee to get out of their rhythm on offense.
“What does Tennessee want to do? They wanna go fast. If you’re loud, they can’t go as fast. They can’t made adjustments. They have to take time outs.”

It feels like the hype around this game has just gotten bigger as the week has gone by. LSU has won five straight in the series, but the last Tennessee win came in Death Valley (in 2005).
All the talk will be done when kickoff between No. 25 LSU and No. 8 happens at noon ET on ESPN.
