Jaden Bradley has committed to transfer from Alabama to Arizona. The Wildcat program announced his signing on Wednesday.
The 6-foot-3 Bradley left the Crimson Tide program after just 1 season. He started 22 times for the SEC champs and earned a spot on the SEC All-Freshman team. A 6-foot-3 guard from Rochester, New York, Bradley averaged 6.4 points, 3.1 assists, and 2.6 rebounds in 19.8 minutes a game for the Tide.
“We are excited to have Jaden and his family join our program,” Lloyd said in a release from the program. “He had an outstanding freshman season for one of the top teams in the country. We know that as he continues to grow his game, he can really make an impact on our program to help make everyone around him better.”
Bradley scored a season-best 18 points in Alabama’s Dec. 17 win over Gonzaga. He led the Crimson Tide in assists 17 times and led the team in steals on seven occasions. Bradley scored in double figures 11 times in 37 appearances. He was able to get to the free throw line and showed an ability to make plays for his teammates.
He was a 2022 McDonald’s All-American and a consensus 5-star recruit. The industry-generated 247 Composite had him ranked as the No. 3 point guard and the No. 26 overall prospect in the 2022 class.
It’s a tough blow for Alabama to lose him after a year, but the move to Arizona is a double whammy. The Crimson Tide are set to face Arizona in Phoenix on Dec. 20.
